If you find yourself in the Midlands...

The West Midlands is a metropolitan county in western central England with a 2011 estimated population of 2,738,100. It came into existence as a metropolitan county in 1974 after the passage of the Local Government Act 1972, formed from parts of Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. The county itself is a NUTS 2 region within the wider NUTS 1 region of the same name. Next week we will learn all about Battersea!

All you need to know about the venue for our party is that John Bonham's old pub is in the next village, and that Led Zep, Black Sabbath and Slade are all from the area.

Nuff said.

Thanks Walter. Next time, come over!
